Two comfortable gites and Bed and Breakfast in a rural setting in an area offering a wealth of outdoor activities and history

Our gites offer you the opportunity to spend an enjoyable holiday or weekend in our area of the Bessin, rich in history, opportunities for leisure activities and in a beautiful landscape. They are located in a farm typical of the eighteenth century.

Our rooms are accessible for handicapped (disabled) persons. Your pets are accepted.

Each gite (cottage) offers you full confort and very closed to Caen and it's Memorial Musee, the Mont Saint-Michel, Bayeux and it's tapestry, Cherbourg, Isigny-sur-Mer, Sainte-Mère-Eglise, Villedieu-les-Poêles, La Cambe in the Calvados bordering the Manche et it's Cotentin.

You are at the heart of the historic site of the battle of Normandy, which took place on 6 June 1944, the landing beaches, between the American Cemetery at Colleville sur Mer and the German cemetery at La Cambe and near to la Pointe du Hoc (the bluff on the coast which witnessed a fierce assault by the Allied forces). The many museums along the length of the coast relate the actions which took place on D Day.

The Bessin region shares both coastal and rural landscapes, offering numerous pleasure activities : horse riding, biking, underwater diving to wrecks, bungee jumping or cultural activities : religious edifices, country houses, concerts, factory visits (e.g. for dairy making) without of course forgetting the historic town of Bayeux and the tapestry commemorating the conquest of England by William the Conqueror. The visit to the regional park of the Bessin and Cotentin will arouse your curiosity as you discover each flower, wild creature and an ancient landscape.

Grandcamp-Maisy is a family seaside resort. It includes a fishing harbour (with the sale of freshly caught fish on the quayside) and a sailing marina. You can choose swimming, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, hiking, tennis or petanque (a type of bowls) without limitation.
